Our headquarters are LOCATED in historic Statesville, North Carolina at the intersection of I-77 and I-40 along the foothills of the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.
| "Our primary mission is to build energy-efficient, affordable homes in western North Carolina for low income individuals or families." |
 |
Our objective includes not only building quality homes that are affordable and energy efficient for low-income families and individuals to purchase, but building homes that can be enjoyed and economically maintained afterwards.
We are proud to say that we have already built more than fifty homes in eight counties of western North Carolina and homeowners who complete our program are so likely to become "successful homeowners" that none have experienced foreclosure.

How We Help
Beyond building houses, our Housing Counseling and Homebuyer Education Workshops promote an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of homeownership as well as provide assistance to consumers in overcoming obstacles to purchasing and maintaining a home. We provide individualized services focusing on housing needs while sharing information specific to each client. We are dedicated to...
- Establishing a budget, financial management and home maintenance programs
- Providing an informative approach to buying a home
- Strengthening social and economic bonds of neighborhoods
- Providing a case management approach for clients by addressing both housing and non-housing needs
- Assisting low and very low income families
We recognize that many people have experienced difficult periods in their lives. Although they work long hard hours to make ends meet, the hope of owning their own home may have become an illusive dream. These are the people Wesley CDC strives to reach and we work hard for anyone who sincerely wants to become a homeowner.
Affordable Housing for All
Developing "Affordable Housing" includes managing a layering of financing through grants, low cost loans and subsidies so that a quality home can be built at an affordable price with the help of community-minded VOLUNTEER LABOR.
Wesley CDC affordable homes are not for Methodists only, but for those who qualify regardless of religion, race, creed, gender, handicap, age or national origin.
