The North Carolina Piedmont's Iredell County Region
Situated just east of the Appalachian Blue Ridge Mountains and home to Historic Downtown Statesville, NASCAR's Race City, Fort Dobbs State Historic Site, western-style Love Valley and 35-mile-long Lake Norman, Iredell County offers a wide variety of things to see and do.
Because Statesville sits at the intersection of two major Interstate Highways and is within an easy commute of Charlotte (40 minutes), Winston-Salem (40 minutes), Hickory (25 minutes) and Asheville (90 minutes), the city is known as the "Crossroads to the Future."
