 By partnering with Advanced Energy, Wesley CDC is proud to keep heating and cooling costs to a minimum for our residents.
After working for decades with builders, manufacturers and utilities across the nation, Advanced Energy helped develop a North Carolina initiative designed to bring their energy knowledge and experience to a deserving, but often under served, local population.
As a member of that initiative and through the training and technical support offered by AE's SystemVision program, we have greatly improved the health, safety, durability, comfort and energy efficiency of our affordable homes.
We build with 2x6 exterior studs for an insulation rating of R19 in the walls and add an extra heel to the roof truss for an R30 insulation rating in the ceiling. We use double-pane insulated windows and doors and use a heavy house wrap.
By following Advanced Energy’s guidelines, AE guarantees controlled heating and cooling costs to average between $28 and $38 a month. |
