 Application Requirements
- Must have a verifiable income
- Income must be 80 percent or less of HUD median income for your county
- Must have credit history that indicates a reasonable willingness to meet obligations OR be willing to work with Wesley CDC, Inc. to become credit worthy
- Must not currently own adequate housing
- Must be a US citizen or legal resident
- Must be willing to attend one-on-one counseling and Home buyer Education Workshops
Wesley CDC is committed to serving the best interests of our clients; therefore, we will provide optional resources for mortgage loan approvals. The following programs are available to the targeted 80 percent median income families.
- USDA Rural Development (payment assistance/leveraged loans/guaranteed loans)
- North Carolina Housing Finance Agency
- Down payment assistance for closing costs
- Conventional Financing
- Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta
Additional assistance may be available to first-time home buyers.
 Professional Housing Counseling and Homebuyer Education Workshops
Wesley CDC's housing counseling and homebuyer workshop programs promote an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of home ownership as well as provide assistance to consumers in overcoming obstacles to home ownership. We provide individualized services focusing on housing needs, while sharing information specific to each client to alleviate housing problems. We are dedicated to:
- Helping homeowners establish a budget, manage finances and prepare home maintenance programs
- Providing an informative approach to the buying of a home
- Strengthening social and economic bonds of neighborhoods
- Providing a case management approach to serving clients in which both housing and non-housing needs are addressed
- Assisting low and very low income families
